Let the whole world see.

"No legacy is so rich as honesty." - William Shakespeare

You have absolutely no chance at happiness if you cannot be honest: honest with yourself.

You need to explore your interior. Find out what colors you are. Get to really know how you think and feel about things. Do not expect others to understand you without understanding yourself. Know your wants and needs, and be willing to meet them yourself. Expose your fears within yourself. Face yourself as you seem to be right now. Your colors may change as you move along in life, and that's to be expected. If you don't change you're not growing. There's no healthy way to stay as you are, right now, forever. So you'd better get in the habit of knowing yourself each and every day. Take the time to look.

If you are presenting yourself in a false light, so that others won't leave, your relationships are based on a lie. Lies mean trouble, insecurity, drama, and pain. For sure. Lies blot out the chance for real love between two people to grow and thrive. Have courage! No- it's not always easy, but I promise you trying to fabricate a false self and hold it is way more difficult.

If you are presenting a false picture of yourself into the world, and to your loved ones, they see your picture, not you. That's not honest, and in the end you gain NOTHING from pretending, it hurts you most. And there's a really good chance an honest person sees right through you. Authenticity is the way to invite people closer.

  • Have the courage to look within.

  • Have the courage to do what it is you need to do for yourself in this life.

  • Have the courage to be wrong.

  • Have the courage to say the difficult things that need to be said.

  • Have the ability to express your love to yourself and others around you.

While you are at it, let others express who they really are as well. The more authentic you are, the more you invite other honest, authentic people into your life. These folks have a better chance at loving you as you are, because they see and accept themselves as they are. Being authentic frees everyone around you to be authentic. This is very good, and makes life rich!

The more you look within, the more wonder you find. The more you share it, the bigger and better life becomes.
